A most excellent composition Daniel!
I find my Afro-American brothers and sistas hard to photograph because of hot spots off their skin.
But then again if I had any idea how to properly shoot any person, it might not be so challenging!
Super work brother!

Thanks Dan.
With any person that I photograph in studio, I position my main light so that it is never pointed directly at the subject, that way they are being illuminated by the softer indirect lighting rather than the direct center of it. This helps achieve softer light with less of a chance of hot spots occuring. Sometimes it's unavoidable though, in which case I'll do some burning to reduce the hot spots.

So good! Love the tones, and really appreciate how the background tones mesh with the subject's body tones.
Thank you so much Ron! I did a location shoot with him recently as well and am excited to share some of those photos once I have time to cull and edit them.
