My good friend Jesseray came over last week for a few drinks, and I ended up setting the studio up and taking a portrait. I think he looks like he should be in movies or TV series. He seems to do really well in front of a camera.
Canon 5D MKIII, Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 lens. Lit with a single Neewer S101-400 flash with a 24" octabox and a silver reflector.
Like Dan says, Daniel, you have this portrait thing dialed in. As far as seeing Jesseray as an actor, I'm reminded of the actor Clayne Crawford who played Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson's character in the movie Lethal Weapon) in TV's version of Lethal Weapon.

He has that very inquisitive look Daniel! You captured that very well! Your photography is so very well seen, composed and processed!
You definitely have the technique down pat! The camera is just a "tool" in your hands! Or maybe a "3rd eye"!
I am always impressed when viewing your images! Your backgrounds are so very complimentary to the subject!
You did him proud!!
Happy New Year brother!
Dan
Thanks a lot Dan, I really appreciate that. I feel like I do my best work with my friends as my subjects, and those always end up being my favorite photos.

Thank you so much. I definitely see the similarity!
I love these portrait sessions you doing in your home studio. The choice of backdrop is also going perfect with the beard colour, clothes and the skin tones. But what is more interesting to learn is convincing and nailing perfect portraits with a non-model friend. You have perfect in this!

Thank you so much! Jesseray has an uncommon ability to charm the camera, so I can't take all the credit for his modeling. He's not a professional, but definitely a natural.
