Boxing Day Bald Eagle & Boxing Day Cormorants

If you want to take your airplane from straight and level into a dive quickly, the fastest way to do it is to roll inverted and pull the nose down, as fast as you can, pulling positive G's.

If you push over forward (negative G's) it takes longer to get the nose down.

I guess eagles and other birds learned how to do that many years before pilots did.

Thanks Eric. It seems they sometimes prefer rolling over onto their backs before beginning their dives. Not sure what the advantage is of doing that.
