Absolutely amazing set. Don't know how I missed it the first time. Mt. Kili and Tusker - a dream shot for all of us.

Do post some more when you can.

I notice most of your images are shot with the 135 GM or 400 2.8 although you do say you were able to take the 300 2.8 with you. Would you be able to provide a rough estimate of percentage with each lens? If you had to restrict yourself to just 3 lenses, what would your choices be?

And yes, would love to go on a workshop with you.

My breakdown per lens based on total files produced was this:

20mm - 302
50mm - 834
135mm - 2431
300mm - 4535
400mm - 11051
400 + 1.4x - 3017

Each lens produced and there were definitely times where I was in APS-C mode with both the 400 and 400 +1.4.

Thank you, that is very interesting. It seems like the longer the better. Over 80% of your images are more than 300mm.

Although I am more into 'animal in habitat' myself, the portrait type images are also very nice. Were a lot of your images of birds or of very distant mammals?

I didn't really focus on birds unless they were super close. The focus was on mammals. Animals in the landscape photos are obviously ideal but the are very much opportunity based as well.

Great set of images and sounds like a fantastic trip. It would take me a year to go through all those images.
Image number 1 is off the charts and a bucket list type photo for me. I would print it very very large
