I spent 5 months of this year photographing the grizzlies of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Overall it was a really enjoyable time, here are some of my favorite images:

Fantastic! 1, 2, 6, and 8 are my favorites. That’s amazing that you were able to spend so much time in the GYE area.

4 is my favorite. It's unique. I was at YS this year. I caught some images of 399 and her cub down in the Tetons. Some other grizzly also in the Tetons. Black bear and cubs behind the Colter Bay visitor center. Raspberry and Jam before and during their breakup in YS. Lots of black bears. So many photographers always taking photographs made me wonder what happens to all the pictures they have taken and will take. Nice to see some that you have taken.

Excellent set of images. Great looking coats on all of them. You got some nice ones of the cubs while they were just little things. Well done.

Image #4 is two of "Obsidians" cubs. I got some decent shots of 399, one day i was on the dam when she and the cub crossed across on the sidewalk. It was surreal. I also walked into some woods and didn't realize it, but was 10 feet from her and that cub, quite the experience.

Raspberry and Jam were so wonderful to watch over the last few years, I have been photographing Jam since she was coy. I know we put all of these human attributes onto these bears, but they really do capture your heart, seeing them in the wild.

One morning, was photographing the grizzly known as Jam feeding on a hillside filled with berry's. It was about 6 am, and i decided to venture down the road because Snow and the Cubs had been in the same area, and sure enough the cubs were sitting on top of a boulder and "playing" with each other. Then they came down and that one little cub just leaned up like it was posing. It was an incredible day, 16 hours of non stop grizzly bear action, and the best of all was spending it with the friends I had made!

Thank you!

2 was an early morning in teton near the Jackson Lake Dam, and bear #610 and her three cubs decided to cross the river.
Later that day is when she had her incident with the car.

#7 was an incredible moment, this is the big male known as bruno and thought to be the father of several of the famous bear 399's cubs. A group of friends and I were sitting in an area waiting and waiting and waiting, we knew Bruno was heading in our direction, it was getting dark, almost no light and of course here he comes!
