In the meantime we have a new set of rumored specs that I find potentially a bit more credible/boring but that tell us even less about the sensor behavior.
Come on people, this carnival barker is the least credible guy on YouTube. Most of us would never buy a car from him.
That being said, from what is being said around the industry, the Z6III is looking to be a very good addition to the Z lineup and a great new option in the photographic World. I am looking forward to the official announcement so we know just how special it will be for sure.
I have definitely become a product of this soundbite world. I see 20 minute videos for a rumor piece and I just shut down. Should take no more than 5, these people are just going for engagement rates by wasting everyone's time.
I see the same thing with online articles. Headline reads "Check out McDonald's new menu item!" Click on it just out of curiosity and the article starts out with a 4 page history of the cheeseburger, 3 more pages on the history of McDonald's, then finally the new item. You could have told me in the first sentence what the new menu item was, but no, trolling for dollars.

Time is the most valuable resource you will ever have. It's not unreasonable to protect it at all costs.
That's not to say that all long form content is a waste of time...there are plenty of 30+ minute videos where I learn something valuable I can apply to my methodologies. Time well spent. Wasting your life away chasing ever changing rumors is just a colossal waste of time. That's why I appreciate that Patrick at Fuji Rumors is on the Fuji payroll, you at least know he's unofficially leaking real stuff vs chasing shifting sands for months.

I don’t know about y’all, but with every new rumor, I am getting less excited, which may be a good thing. My interest is
A. Improvement on sensor on any aspect over Zf.
B. Same monitor style as Z8, Z9 (No selfie screen)
C. Self lit buttons
D. Starlight mode
Over Zf spec.
If none of the above are addressed, I might need to reconsider next cam. Quick way will be just get Z7ii and focus more on just shooting with less than great solution as a new cam in 2024….

YouTube pushes longer content now so they can put in more ad breaks. Videos have become unnecessarily long across the platform. I appreciate people who put chapters in at least, but it's still overkill.

Lit buttons are have been traditionally only available on higher end models for Nikon bodies, I would seriously not get your hopes up on that one..

I really got used to these. Not having them on the a9III is a pain.
It’s still not certain that the rumored Z6III is the first one, but assuming for now it is, here is my guess for the second one in decreasing order of likelihood:
- Z90: high end APS-C, the mirrorless D500
- Z7III: a new 80mp sensor in a Z6III body
- Z9II: a refresh of the Z9
- Z9h: Nikon’s version of the a9III with GS

Z50ii far more likely than any of those.
Z5 less so, since it was a non-starter body, but it still needs an update.
It’s a possibility also.
On the other end Nikon has always been consistent when announcing several related products together with something significant in common. A Z50II is totally different so I find that less likely.
Or it would have to be separate announcements several months apart which is possible too.
The Z5 never made a lot of sense to start with. I don’t think Nikon will waste resources on a II and certainly not together with a Z6III.
I heard on the wind that an aps-c high performance camera has been in field being tested for a while now. I have no idea if it is one of these newly registered cameras.
