wow, these are beautiful. I have headed out to see them in the morning in our area a couple of times, but they appear to come out about 45 mins before sunrise and then are back inactive about 10 mins or so. There was almost no light to shoot them. Your photos appears like they are a bit latter in the day. Do they sometimes get active again around 1-2 hours after sunrise?

Thanks very much, as to when they make their appearances in my experience you can never tell. I've seen them active in the mornings and also in the late afternoons.
