I have yet to see a bad roll of fujicolor 100 or 200. I'd buy the 4 rolls of 24 exposure at the grocery or drug store even , before going digital in 2005, or order imported (looked like Korean) for $1.79 or so from B&H or Adorama. It didn't seem to matter much, as far as Super HG, Super HG II, or even Reala
I realize there's been a lot if upheaval but I have a hard time believing Kodak is the same as Fuji. I didn't like Kodak, mostly, and used pretty much anything else. Used to really like probably long gone Ektar 25, later Royal Gold 25 probably the same or close, (yes iso 25) though
B&H had Pan F in 100' rolls recently, thinking you'd get ~20 rolls, so $6-7/roll. I mostly used PanF, myself, but FP4 and HP5 seemed excellent, too, 125 & 400 iso. 100' rolls ~$120
Can't find any so asking here: any Canadian retailer with good deals for Gold 120 or is buying from the states the best play? Canadian Amazon and other retailers have the pro pack listed for $95 CAD which is highway robbery at 100% markup over US prices.

Fuji 400 is simply rebranded Kodak UltraMax 400 and is doodoo vs Superia.
Fuji is fumbling the film bag so hard lately.
It does say Made in USA on it now. So Kodak. My previous case still is the Superia Xtra made in Japan batch.
How doodoo is it? Do you have any examples? The Fuji 200 which now may be Gold 200 (if it says made in USA it is) is still very nice as so is Gold 200. So if the latest Fuji 400 bites, then I’ll just be buying 200.

I have no issues with Gold 200/Fuji 200 (USA). I've not shot Fuji 400 (USA) based on all of the examples and comparisons I've seen of it to Superia X-Tra 400.

Fuji 400 is definitely not as nice as Superia Xtra (especially for blues and pinks/purples), but it's not total junk IMO. A lot of my recent fall shots in the film thread are Fuji 400.
From what I've heard, Superia Xtra may have been discontinued, although there is still some available at various places online. It's running around $15/roll though.
And ordered a case from MPEX. If you subscribe they send you a $10 off promo so it was $187.50 for 30 rolls = $6.25/roll.
B&H has Ultramax 36 at $9/roll, single roll or $10.99/roll depending on which link you click on!
Also $26/3/24 exposures.
B&H has it as Fuji 400 for $25/3/36 = $8.33/roll
This is why I say buy your film from Mpex.com.
Online reviews are a weird thing though, because they don't scan/process the film the way I do to make it look how I want! So we'll see. I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with it.
I never really used the Fuji 400. Fuji came out 800 color print that seemed at least as good, faster of course, found out about that around 2000 or so. And I preferred 100 & 200 to the 400.
Fujicolor is Kodak now, man, say it isn't so. Are you sure? One 8f the articles above said Superia 400 is more punchy than Ultramax, Bastian hadn't tested, just heard .

The current Fuji 200 and 400 colour films say Made In the USA on the box. Fuji does not have a factory in the USA. So it is Kodak re-labelled. And sold for less!
I still have current Superia 400 and it says Made in Japan. But the stuff I just ordered says USA and it is no longer called Superia. Just Fuji 400, so it is not the same.
