p.1 #1 · Is there a multi EN-EL15 charger out there?

Well, I thought I was done with these damn batteries when the Z9 showed up, but as it turned out, now I have a Z8 and it's back to using multiple batteries per event.

Is there some way of charging more than two of these in an array? I don't want to have a whole bunch of MH-25As sitting there taking up outlets. Hoping for something like that old Godox charger for the AD200/300 batteries that went out of production for some reason.

https://www.manfrotto.com/us-en/pro-cube-professional-twin-charger-for-dslr-cameras-nikon-manprocuben/

I use this one and it works well. A little chunky for traveling and not really much smaller than 2 MH-25A but it takes up only 1 socket. However, since you said more than two, may be this is not it.

Nitecore USB charger is pretty nice and small too so a few of those won't take up too much space as long as you have
enough USB outlet.

I use this one.

https://www.nitecorestore.com/Nitecore-UNK2-Charger-for-Nikon-EN-EL15-p/chg-nite-unk2.htm

Have travelled a lot of with it and it has held up well despite the usb plug always hanging awkwardly from my computer usb port.

RavPower has a dual charger with 2 En EL15b (their batteries) for what used to be $35. I had them for use with my D500 and lasted longer then the OEM Nikon batteries. Had them for 3 years and were still at 0 on the battery health and never seemed to loose much in the way or capacity. The charger also charged my Nikon OEM 15b and a friends 15c batteries without issue. But if nothing else, the charger is probably worth the $35 by itself if you have a mirrorless that isn't accepting 3rd party batteries.

The Nikon vertical grip for the Z8 (MB-N12) takes two EN-EL15b/c batteries and with a USB-C PD adapter you can use it to charge both batteries. I find it very convenient.

[Edit: I realized the EN-EL15a cannot be charged via USB-C. b and c types can.]

I've heard this one does not work with the EN-EL15b/c etc newer ones?

Which one? I have Manfratto one and it is definitely working with EN-EL 15C. I also have Nitecore USB somewhere
but I have not used it in a long time.

For those that offered help with chargers that charge 2 of those EN-EL15c batteries:
The TS asked for chargers taking more than 2 batteries

Thanks guys, I'll look into the stuff posted. The Aliexpress 4-banger is more or less what I had in mind, although I'm a bit wary about getting my batteries damaged...

The scenario I'm trying to plan for is having back-to-back long (12+h) weddings using 2 Z8s. If they're anything like the Z6s, they can use up to 3 batteries per event, so the idea would be to be able to charge 6 batteries overnight.

If you have two cameras being used by two photographers simultaneously, then you may be realistic in your estimate of battery consumtion, but if you're using the two cameras as a single photographer switching between the two, then the battery consumption will probably be less than that.

I have used the Bronine charger in the past. I didn’t find it to charge batteries faster than the OEM charger, but one can charge four batteries at the same time, so that alone is a solid advantage. It works best with high wattage USB-C PD. I used an 85W laptop power supply.

I just picked up the little USB dual charger made by Watson from B&H. Works great and is pretty cheap. Small, too. And has a status indicator display.
I have the Manfrotto one, too, but as other have said, it's a little bulky for travel. It sits on my desk at home.

True, but the idea here is to never end up in a situation where there is no backup battery. Backups for your backups and all that.

And THIS is basically what I've been looking for. It's on the expensive side, but still quite reasonable next to the Manfrotto while being way more versatile and expandable.

Thanks!!

I'd love to hear what you end up with. I've used the Watson dual charger in the past for ENEL15s but don't recommend it as it has a whine when charging that drives me slowly insane and the power level indicators aren't accurate, so just use a couple standard chargers. Too bad Nikon has locked out some third party batteries, but I suppose it makes sense
