From our first date, we felt happy and comfortable with each other.
Fast forward several years and we're now married and hoping to stay married for a few decades.
One of the kindest souls I've met, animal lover, dancer, yoga instructor, scientist nerd, cat mom.
She doesn't understand 2 of the 3 languages I use, I don't understand 1 of the 2 languages she uses.
It sounds difficult, till you realize - we can curse each other during fights in our native languages, without affecting the relationship.

A beautiful young woman Anil! Super images. LOVE #2!!!!! The smile..... I am very happy for both of you! Love the Maryland t-shit in the Sunflower field!
MY mother spoke only Italian as she fled fascist Italy with her parents in the 1920's for America. While she would speak Italian to her family and to us children, she actually never taught us.
That, to me, is a shame! The World has to be multi lingual.
My 40 years of federal service had me in language schools for many years to just learn the rudimentary language structure not to offend my counterparts from other Countries.
And YES to being cursed out in another language and not knowing it! Some things are best left unknown!
Again my best wishes for a long life and growing love to both of you!
Dan

Ohhh .. Italian sounds so beautiful, so it is a shame, but hey, you can always learn now.

I love knowing 3 languages, and wish I had spent my childhood learning one more language from this set - French, Chinese, Arabic, Italian, Spanish, German.

Again my best wishes for a long life and growing love to both of you! Dan
Thank you, Dan

I can converse pretty good now in Italian. But not having someone to speak to everyday is a REAL problem. Not so with my Spanish. My "girfriends" at Dunkin Donuts test me every morning when I go out for morning coffee and correct me when I am wrong. It's fun and I enjoy it and I can hear them laughing at me when I get the grammar(feminine/masculine)wrong. That is ok. I don't mind

Yes, it's arbitrary on what gender each inanimate object is.
I wonder who decides what gender each thing is - sigh!

Anil, I love the clarity and colors you captured/enhanced on your field trip of the US. My favorite image is #3, Vicky about to leave Kansas via umbrella.

As long as she can make idli-sambar you'll be okay. 😀
Great pictures, and well done on what is perhaps life's most important choice.
She's from a different country ... so I am forced to make my own idlis ..
