Haven't posted here in forever, but my eldest daughter is getting married! She and her fiance came to visit this last weekend and we did the engagement portraits in the beautiful fall colors up in Glacier National Park. Just started editing and wanted to share a few.
Really well done! You really have an eye for lighting, whether this is natural light or not. I'm guessing this is natural light, but I honestly can't tall and that is a testament to you being a very good photographer.
Standard poses, and composing using only tele lens.
Im sorry Lisa, but mainly because of this is I found this set quite dull.
It's just... there is no "air" in these images (compressed background in every picture)
Scenery is just asking for using 24mm or 35mm lens!
And why not experiment with different angles, like shooting from low angle or from the hip?
Really gorgeous set. I think the one after the black and white is just a standout.
I am going to say the 2nd is my least favorite, probably because I have a very scenic local pond and I have ended up shooting downhill in the same manner.
Well done Lisa! The fall Glacier setting and your daughter's dress color work really well together.
4,5,8,9 are my favorites.
Thanks for sharing your family photos with us. It's been a photo journey watching your kids grow up.
Coincidentally, my son is also getting married (in May) and I appreciate the reminder that I should try to take some photos beforehand.
If I could shoot people as well as you do, I might give the critters a rest once in a while. Goats and Sheep always seem to occupy my time in Glacier.
