I have an old pc which works great. Currently I have a Nvidia GTX 570 PCI Express 2.0 card. I want to upgrade the GPU.

Any suggestion for. PCI E 2.0 based latest cards Thanks

I run a moderately new and powerful computer. The video card is the bottle neck and it's still a RTX 2080 Super. When I'm exporting images from Lightroom boy that fan spins up loud

I can only imagine how your GTX 570 is surviving.

Your graphics card is 15 years old and no longer receives driver updates. You are missing out on so much performance without modern hardware, considering we are in the pro photographer forum I assume you own a business? Time is money and you can potentially save a lot of time with a new build. Get something with a decent CPU M.2 SSD and an Nvidia RTX card. I recently purchased a Macbook M3 Pro for work and it rips through photos as well.

The newer cards use a different power connection than your computer's power supply and likely to need one that provides more than 500 Watts. Better to buy a new computer with the GPU that you want.

better to build a new computer with the components you want. takes days to decide and just a few hours to build. the builds have become quite a bit easier to do these days. don't go crazy. my most recent GPU is a 3060 w/12GB ram. works fine w/o excessive expense. i can even play a mean game of Halo Infinite at highest level.

a decent MB will be on the $250 range. i prefer Gigabyte. it will then put you on the proper path.

it will welcome you to the world of hard drives that are SSD's size of sticks of gum and can be REAL fast. you need to start at the base.

A new machine with decent integrated graphics may well out perform your current machine.
Or a budget gaming PC.
Big money won't be needed for big performance gain.

I would suggest getting a new PC and selling the old on FB/Craiglist.

You will be amazed with a new computer with how much faster the workflow is.
