A photo from a road trip I took earlier this year with one of my best friends Vinnie. The temperature reached below freezing just as we arrived, so the water and sand was literally freezing to the bottoms of our boots as we were walking around, creating huge frozen sand clods on the bottoms of our boots. We could also watch the water crystalizing around us as the temperature kept dropping, kind of like the scenes with dementors in the Harry Potter films. It was a really cool sight to see which really added to the already ethereal feel of the location.
A nice deviation from the beautiful women and handsome men we normally are used to Daniel. I knew it got cold at night but daytime also?
I love how you framed Vinnie here. Great expanse and depth here Daniel!
Dan
I agree with GoodEgg. It'd be great to see his shot of you.
Freezing water in the desert?! Sounds like an oxymoron. I like the high key look contrasted with Vinnie's black bomber jacket.

I dunno Dan, I think Vinnie is the epitome of handsome, but he is my best friend so maybe I'm a little biased.
When we arrived it was about 40 minutes before sunset and temperatures were dropping very quickly. There was so much texture, and it was really cool to see the water crystallization happening as we watched.
And I believe this was just a tire tread (not ours, we didn't drive onto the playa), but interesting looking nonetheless.
