Yes, excellent point Doug! I rarely photograph in sunlight, which I did here, preferring overcast conditions. The deep shadows is one reason for it.

I love the expression, you captured a really sweet moment. I do wish the lighting didn't cast shadows over her eyes, but with candid shots like this you can't always plan for perfect lighting.
