This Sigma lens, designed for FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras, offers a versatile 150-600mm equivalent focal length range. It features advanced optics, including FLD and SLD elements to reduce chromatic aberrations.
While it was originally made for full-frame cameras, the electronics and mount were actually tweaked to fit Fuji X-mount APS-C cameras. This makes it a more affordable, compact, and lighter option compared to the FUJIFILM XF 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6 R lens, with a weight difference of 1375g versus 1135g.
Optical image stabilization compensates for camera shake, and quick, quiet autofocus is powered by a stepping motor. Close-up shooting is possible with a minimum focusing distance of 3.7' at 100mm and 5.2' at 400mm (0.24x magnification), with smooth and pleasing background blur even stopped down thanks to a 9-blade diaphragm.
Customizable buttons and a focus limiter switch enhance shooting convenience. The lens is built with a durable brass bayonet, is dust- and splash-resistant, and offers tripod compatibility with an optional socket and protective cover.

Does anyone have experience with this lens on a Fuji camera?
I've been using a Nikon version on Xt3 via a Fringer adapter for about 18 months, excellent optics and IQ, Af-s works fine, haven't tried Af-c or tracking.

Thanks for the update, Gerry.
I like the idea of a light lens with that reach. I have the Panasonic 100-400mm on MFT and this is only about 6 ounces (176g) more than that. I understand the differences in FOV and can work with that, needing to crop on either system actually. I generally shoot AF-S, so there would be no problem there.

It has been awhile and I wonder if anyone has been using this lens and has comments about it. It is always interesting to hear people's experiences over time rather than the immediate YouTube reviews that do not follow up.

Still using my Nikon mount version on Fringer adapter, tried it on my new Xt5 the other day, very good, appears to be using the IBIS as well as the OIS although I can't be sure yet.
As usual with such extreme focal lengths results are limited by my competence!

I just ordered the Fuji mount version to give it a try. It is about the same weight and size as the Olympus 100-400 in MFT, and if I can get similar results I would sell my remaining MFT equipment. The lack of an aperture ring does not seem too consequential, since I expect to use it mostly wide open anyway.
