So, I have been playing with mine a fair amount and I'm loving the Exspeed 7, 3D tracking, and overall updates, the 24mp sensor is great. Buuut I'm still not sold on the ergonomics. I feel like if a Z6iii appears with Exspeed 7 and a 30mpx sensor, I might be tempted to swap. Who knows - You all may see my 40mm SE kit here on B/S shortly.
I do feel though that with a Z8 and the arrival of the 600mm PF, my kit is finally about done. The only question is will my second body be the Zf or the Z6iii? For the first time in a long time I'm finally feeling content with all of my gear. ...Show more →
The smallrig grip is pretty good, although it doesn’t match my ZF. It does make the camera quite a bit bigger so I only use it with larger lenses.
Ya I’m not a fan of how the small rig grip looks. I do like the oem from Japan but hard to get. Maybe the rrs will sway me. Might not get any grip at all.

Because of realy bad weather and regular life stuff I havent had so much time as I wanted with my Zf, But I tried it with diferent lenses, pixelshift and some more. Picture count on 666...heavy metal. I havent got any extra grip yet but think its sits just fine in my hands with my wide or standard primes. Actualy I love how it handles, but maybe Im weired A dream with manual focus, lovely colors, etc.
Three times more expensive than my Zfc and maybe three times better built and better functions. It is for me.
Mine has since been returned. Unfortunately, while I love the internals of the camera, the externals just were not doing it for me, with or without the grip. The Ae/Af button was just a bit too far for my thumb and the dials a bit too hard to turn. I could make it work with the available amount of buttons but at the end of the day, it seems that the standard body type is just more suited to me.

Ok, another ->.
Then block him. Or just apologize for a clumsy remark and move on.. I suspect that continuing to denigrate another forum member is a good way to lose posting privileges. Civility counts.

I just blocked myself. It’s weird, I cannot see what I am typing.
Anyway not only does Kenmore have them, but also a demo model. I played with it for a little while but I fear the EVF gave me a headache. My noggin is sensitive to that.
The people who work at Kenmore are super nice. And they sell film! Fuji 200 3 pack for $22.
I like Nikon ZF’s idea. I have not tried it yet, but I probably will. As a Fuji and Leica user, and of course a Nikon FM-2 and Canon AE-1 user, just look at the the pictures, specs and some reviews, here are something that I don’t like about it:
1. I wish Nikon’s new Z SE lenses have aperture ring;
2. The mode lever is totally unnecessary. Simply put an “A’ on Shutter Wheel, and ISO wheel. You are all set if you like to shoot with Shutter Priority or Auto ISO.
3. Wish they had a 45MP version, although 24.5 is perfect for normal use (travel, street, personal).
4. I am still trying to figure out the reason why they use micro SD card slots. Wish two SD cards slots so I do not have to deal with multi-format cards. Hate that.
5. The shutter remote cable thread is just for soft button, I guess, I heard you can not use the real shutter cable. That is a bummer.
Other than these minor things, in general, Nikon ZF will be a very successful products for certain customers. It’ll be a great Christmas gift for me if someone like to buy one for me.
I wish Canon will catch up and come up a retro camera like their successful AE-1 with RF mount.
Hey thanks! I’m one of those Kenmore people. I’m nice in most days. 😂
Yes, the ZF is doing well. Nice work by Nikon. I’m enjoying the new monochrome picture controls. If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM.
