One other thing - produce, milk & dairy in Iceland are so good that Americans have no idea what the real thing is. Most of Europe also enjoys a high quality of food & ingredients, but Iceland is next level due to the purity of its water from which flows everything else down the chain.
Come to California. Personally variety of produce and the quality is just as good as anywhere IMHO. Rest of the US I don't know.
Maybe you didn't explore enough or maybe Iceland is really great that most of us outside don't know.
Food wise, how are the tacos, Vietnamese, korean, filipino food, how are the dumplings, how is the bbq. I won't go for Indian food as it is no good in CA (at least the north Indian food that I am used to). I am glad I am in CA with so many different types of food options and fresh produce everywhere.
OP - sorry for being really off topic. I get carried away when someone brings up food.

No need for any apologies as long as you are talking about food. I love trying different cuisines. Surprised you don't like Indian food in Cal though!
