Tundra, Aurora, mountains, beautiful sunsets, fog!!! What awesome conditions. A landscape photographers dream. I might hit you up on visit suggestions. I have thought about that area in early fall (actually late summer) to try to capture the tundra colors. We’re there any caribou around?

I didn't see any Caribous. The only animals I've seen (besides birds) are these guys (lots of them). The good thing is, they don't afraid humans much, so you can get very close to them if you want to take a good shot without a telephoto lens. I think I shot this image at 120mm only.

Very nice. I like 3rd and first northern lights shot best but they are all interesting and good.

I have not been there for about 10 years. I think the best time is first week September for mosqutoes and the sun goes down for northern lights and the foliage turns red. Hiking it is challenging because the trails are straight up and down over the mountains. November will be quite chilly - (-35?) but fun and great for northern lights - pick a moon free night.
