I have had this 'Swiss Army' knife since I was in the second grade (I will be 50 this year). The knife was a gift from my parents. Dad had one just like it, and I always wanted one. I cut myself whittling sticks at a campfire, and carried it pretty much everywhere with me except school. When I got into college it was in my toolbox for work, and I eventually lost it, only for it to be found again going through some things at my parent's place after dad passed away. It journeyed with me on our move to Switzerland, which is funny, and fitting I guess.

This is an attempt at an HDR focus stack. Still learning about macro, but enjoying capturing these little things around me - fingerprints, dirt, and all.

Mike, I had the mini version with just the one blade and the nail file, and yes my father did too has the same one. I think you were successful with your focus stack

Thanks Tom. My kids both have the mini version now, in cool colors other than the iconic red. This one has the tweezers, toothpick, can opener and mini blade. I have another one (also from my childhood) with scissors… but I think my youngest ‘borrowed’ it. I’ll have to look for it now.

It’s nice to see something so iconic actually used for its intended purpose and showing signs of it. Very good stacking result. I hope you don’t mind my saying so, but I actually prefer the B&W version you posted - the shape and the textures of the patina come through more there, I think.

Thank you. I too like the BW version. But I became enamored and a bit obsessed with the iconic red plastic on this version and felt it fit the WA theme of knife better in color.

I have both Mike! They are 40-50 years old!
An iconic piece of equipment and memororabelia!
Well done!
