Thanks everyone...Mavic 3 Pro drone

We booked a VW 4x4 van for 11 days last December. I took a friend of mine from SE Alaska who had never been. we stopped at Costco on arrival and stocked up on foods. We decided to forego the Volcano, which was winding down, and head straight to the Highlands based on the weather. I had one shower at Landmannalaugar the whole time and we mostly ate peanut butter and honey sandwiches and yogurt, with occasional splurge meals like Pakkhus when back on Highway 1.

Our schedule was shooting sunrise and sunset and naps in between with longer sleep stretches during the day somewhere in the shade. We hit the weather pretty good with a lot of research.

With the right weather, Iceland is tough to beat. I've been twice, I can't imagine not going back at some point.

Yes this was trip 6 for me and I am already planning 7

It really made the trip bringing someone along who had never been.

Fantastic photos! I've only been once in the winter, would love to return in the summer at some point.
