A friend shared his find of this nest. We never saw the chicks but watched both parents make food runs for them. I only got to shoot this for one evening, and then they were gone Thanks for looking . As always C&C welcome. I would love to know your favorites. John
...and this was in Ohio, John!?! Great set, I know I've not seen any in my haunts!
Too many favorites, but if I had to pick just one, no.10 would do it because of the color.

John:
Great series of images of the GCF. I had the fortune to photograph the GCF over several hours many years ago. The bird is human friendly, quite intelligent, expressive and photogenic like your #5 and 6 photos.
These rock! Wow what a wonderful display of varied insect catches. Love the color and background light and details👍🏼
Beautiful presentation John no way to pick a favorite loved them all😁 and voted!
John, I really like all these. They're top-notch, as you do.
It's hard for me to pick a favorite but if I had to pick one (and only one), I think it would be #11. The flight shot is well-executed and puts a little action with the context of the hole in the tree.
The other one that ekes to my second favorite is #4. I like the pose of the flycatcher and the way the color of the prey ties into the overall color scheme.
Truly though, the whole set is wonderful. I'm not sure you could go wrong with any of them.

Terrific set of images!
They're gone? Chicks did not survive?

Hi Dave. Thank you for the compliment. My friend went back a couple of days later and mom and dad were not bringing food to the nest. He only saw adults briefly and not on the tree with nest. We assumed they fledged. Sometimes a day or two makes a big difference.
