I recently fulfilled a bucket list item for me...I bought a horse! I was a horse crazy kid, and it's always been a dream of mine to own. Luckily, the place where we board has the nicest people, and I decided to drag out some of my dresses to photograph two of them with their horses. Also luckily, they are the most gorgeous mother/daughter ever.
Be gentle, it's been a LONG time since I've shot anything outside my very controlled studio environment. Thanks for looking and for any CC!

You always set the bar high, Dawn. I love every image -- the colors, technique, composition, and the beautiful subjects. I wonder if Ariel smiled on purpose?! Nice that you caught that bit of photo-bombing. You managed to get a shot with all hooves off the ground (#6)!
These are quite different from your studio work. I'd have to go back to see if you processed their faces the same way. In a way, they look like oil paintings (a good thing). But I'm sorry to say, I am not a fan of the rouge-y look/dodge-and-burn; cheeks a tad over for me when looking close like this. I imagine big prints on the wall would be so powerful.
Well, You are on such photography level that there is hardly no technical or substantive mistakes in Your work.
Now its rather "I would preffer", or "I would do it differently" stuff.
I quite like this set, but there is couple things I would do differently
