I picked up my Z8 today 8 days later what the F. Do they got working there. They repaired my camera and now it does not work at all look at the shit workmanship. Plus there is grease on the sensor. Eight days I had to wait for this shit. You take the camera in for a repair and they break it. Don’t know if I will get it but I am insisting on a new camer.

I'd love to know which repair facility you sent it back to. I literally can't even grasp HOW it would be possible to treat a brand new camera that way. I just don't get it. How could it pass any inspection and write off as repaired. Please do let us know which location did the work. I've only heard great things about the California location so hoping I never need assistance. Can I assume it wasn't the California location?

That's really suck. The recall repair is very straight forward. I waited at Nikon service center for the repair here and it took a little over half an hour for the service. I don't believe that they did not know that they damage the sensor shield somehow but why did they give the camera back to you like that.
I hope you get a new body or a major compensation for their mistake.

Once I sent 70 - 200mm 2.8 for repair to fix autofocus motor and paid $600. I received my lens back in very bad condition. I was so angry I was about to sell all Nikon gear and move on.
I will get really angry if my brand new $4000 camera was returned in this state. Sorry

Why if you live only 8 miles away from the repair center would you pick up a camera in this condition then complain here on the forum about the condition of the repair on FM? Why not tell tell them this is not acceptable to begin with? Your lack of vocabulary in describing the repair processes with vulgar language doesn't add to the credibility of your complaint. Just curious to know what's up with your post on the matter.

I had a week old Z8 and the eye piece was loose and would fall, i was tapping it on, I was away. .sent it in with insurance cost $62.00
Then i found out about the recall and Nikon was paying the ship..I got two invoices, first one said no charge so i figured they fixed it....but know that was for the recall..the second invoice was around $200 and i complained they said impact damage I said bull shit didn't matter, they took off 10%of the repair..not happy at all and I never take that off...it's never the cameras fault...I just want it back..paid them.. BS
They sent me a survey. I was nice lol...Love there cameras and equipment but service sucks..

Lets give the OP some slack. I would be pissed as hell if my $4K new camera came back from repair in this state and would most likely vent out some steam as well. Good luck with a replacement as there still seems to be a lack of supply of the camera and more so with replaceable parts.

I wonder if they are giving all those repairs to the jr. campers.
