I love sunsets in the desert. It signifies the change of daily wildlife activity. The park is more alive after the Sun sets with the rustling of wildlife noticeably more active after Sun down than Sun up. It's always fun to have little heart stopping moments walking back to the car, in the dark, when your head torch catches the glowing eyeballs of a coyote or bobcat staring back at you.
Beautiful shot Ryan. Something to think about - and I don't even know if it was possible in this case - would be to move around so that the second Joshua tree is separated from the background boulders. Actually I'm guessing you made this decision on purpose - to have the rocks frame the JTree. It is a lovely desert sunset capture!

Thank you for the feedback. You're absolutely right on the tree blocking the view of the boulder pile. These are the kind of things I need to be more cognizant about in the field. Camera was already at eye level. I probably could have raised the tripod another 6 inches, so the Jtree would be positioned below the boulder pile.
