I am sure this quote is up for discussion , but I tried to make the best of being out at the "wrong" time of day with these shots while keeping in mind that just being out gives me joy.

Most impressive set Birdie. You made some difficult light work to your advantage, your post processing is always fantastic. Image 6 & 7 are terrific.

No, I've always found that rather than the light itself, the qualities of intensity and direction thereof have more to do with the overall quality than the light itself.

Very enjoyable set; thank you for sharing. #5 I love the light and the pose. #7 I like how the one eye is staring back at the viewer.

Very creative use of whatever the light was....thinking out of the box isn't something that comes natural to everyone but you make lemonade out of lemons look very easy.

I think you just made your quote into an axiom with this post. Every one of them is a winner, and I love the use of bokeh bubbles in 1 and 5.

Not sure that I can separate the qualities (intensity and direction ) as an independent elements of light especially when you might not have the all the qualities working for you. Too many variables for my brain to wrap itself around.

Your choices on composition in this set are impressive and very well seen IMO

Light is light, the only 'bad light' is the lack of light

Enjoyed these for you overcoming the challenges in light and making the most of the comps to strengthen the image. Love the placement of the Cormie in the frame, the Turtle shot has sooo much good character it is a winner for sure and I do like the Cormie silhouette image as well. Nice control on exposures throughout.
