Hi,
I recently returned to Australia for several week to visit family and whilst there did a few run and gun landscape shoots. The jet lag helped with the early wakeup's and I was fortunate to experience several beautiful sunrises. Here's a few of my favourites. C&C always welcome:
1. Bombo sunrise crash - very well known landscape photography spot south of Wollongong. The basalt columns line up against the waves. A perfect spot for sunrise photography. Single shot. Real sky.
2. A waterfall in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Bit of a sketchy hike to get there and potentially a dangerous place. Requires care and vigilance if visiting.
3. A waterfall in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Requires care and vigilance if visiting.
4. Northern beaches - one of the best sunrises I've seen. Not a soul on the rock shelf to experience it with. Single shot, real sky.
5. I turned around after being totally focussed on #4, to witness #5. I screamed in joy. Single shot, real sky.
Derrick,
What a wonderful collections here from Australia early adventurous endeavor!
Out of those beautiful photos, perhaps if I have to choose, the first and last are my favorites.
Bravo!

Thanks Kee. When I first saw your post about your gallery showing in Waverly St, I thought it was in Sydney where we have a suburb called Waverly!

Wonderful set. I think the waterfall plunge is really an interesting and unique image. Good job.
Thanks Chuck. It was a beautiful spot and interestingly not as dangerous to take that photo as one might think as it was possible to wedge oneself in this kind of stepped opening in the rock.

Thank you sir. Appreciate you taking the time to comment and share your favourite. Cheers!
great set of images! You really used the exact right shutter speed for these... just enough to show motion without it completely smearing out the water. Beautiful!
Wonderful set - each a beauty. The first is my fav., looking down the waterfall is very dramatic (and scary - I have a friend who died trying to get a shot like that in Hawaii). The last is a great topper.

Thank you for the comment. So sorry to hear about your friend. That's a terrible tragedy. Sorry for your loss and that my photo stirred that memory up.
On a safety note, I know I've put myself in dangerous situations before, recklessly so. I now ask myself, "what is the penalty for failure?" and "how likely is failure?". If that equation is moderate injury or worse and higher probability than very very low, then for me it's not worth the shot. In this particular case, penalty for failure could have been bad but probability of failure was so small that I was okay with attempting it.
