I'm heading to there in July! Curious what kit you took, particularly wondering what lenses you had. Also if you have any tips/recommendations I'd surely would appreciate it.

I usually go with a prime (500mm) , a zoom (100-400) and a general purpose lens(24-105) with 2 bodies ( Canon 1 Dx and R6). At least 60-70 % of the shots taken with 1DX & 500mm combo, 20-25% with zoom lens and only 5% shots with wide. Scope for wide is very less (to me). I have been to Africa many ties and this gear is very much enough. Even if you travel with just one camera and lens ( 100-500mm lens), you will not be disappointed, but too many bodies and lenses are always a pain to carry around.
