FYI, that thing that many people have been asking me about is now available. 😁
Panasonic Lumix S1R (best camera in the world as far as I am concerned)
Canon 70-200@70mm
1/4 sec
f/22
50 ISO
Processing: as always, this was carefully corrected, and developed starting with a linear raw file, using the new industry game changing workflow that Adobe has given us, finally allowing full control over the true original raw file conversion, to completion in a totally lossless pure raw workflow, including lossless RAW LAYERS in Photoshop! Adobe Lightroom Classic, with its recent updates, has given us unprecedented point curve masks! An absolute game changer in the history of photography. We now can EASILY make our own custom raw profile (instead of using Adobe’s adulterated generic profiles) and with just four simple fundamental adjustments many images can be done or nearly done in Adobe Lightroom before a single slider has been adjusted, cutting down massively on labor and improving quality by quantum leaps. More info on my website if you are interested. ✌🏼
fine description of wave crest in detail and vividly - amazing shot
I have S1R and used many times and was impressed its high quality image.
Well balanced with VM 35mm f1.7 and ZM 35mm f1.4 and ZM 50mm F2 (So impressed by its highest quality).
and totally agreed to you.
Funny, I have an S1R that is going for sale at the end of the week I like the camera, but all my system is Canon, and I can't find a justifiable justification (?!) to keep this one ....

When this camera is coupled with one of maybe the top five lenses that can be put on it, like a Leica Summicron APO, or Sigma Art, Zeiss Otis... when using the High Rez superior auto pixel shifting mode, it can produce images with a sheer resolution that I haven't seen matched by any camera (even the top H-Blad, or Phase One) and with a 3 stop reduction in noise! I process every conceivable file imaginable for top-quality gallery enlargements and even have many Phase One IQ4 ($80,000+) 150MP images on my computer, top H-Blad, and so forth. I have never seen any files handle so phenomenally. But to get the full capability, a top-shelf lens at best f/stop has to be used...
If I was given a million dollars, and was forced to use it only on camera gear for top quality, I would only have two cameras: Panasonic Lumix S1R (which I have) and the Leica SL2 (same auto superior pixel shift). And then all the top primes...
