.1 mm thick plastic wrap with no air bubbles makes zero difference. If you opt for any of the light colors - it actually helps tremendously outdoors. My A1 was overheating pretty quickly while filming under direct sunlight. It could be hot to touch even if turned off. Not anymore. All my outdoor photo stuff is how white. If I ever buy Nikon's big lenses - they will become white in no time. http://data.medolap.com/IMG_0195.jpg
BTW alphagvrd is a reseller of a Taiwanese company lifeguard-design.com. I prefer to order directly from Lifeguard - it's faster (everything is always in stock) and cheaper. FedEx delivery from TW takes 2-3 days. After a certain volume they started giving a 5% discount and now it's 10%. ...Show more →
What case are you using to hold your lenses? I assume it’s a dehumidifier? I’ve been debating which one to get that holds a 400 comfortably along with 7-8 more lenses.

It’s the Ruggard EDC 600 L-S dual zone dry cabinet. This thing is a must in TN. I bought it after my rifle scope developed fungus. The cabinet is very spacious (2 x 300L), it will fit all your stuff. Each section is tall enough for the 600GM + TC + camera.
Received mine and applied them. Little intiimidating at first but was able to apply them with some patience. You can peel them off and reattach quite easily. The 70-200 II was definitely tricky, I actually left out certain pieces. Looks pretty cool though. The Sony 35/1.4 was pretty easy to apply, didnt bother with the lens cap.
I’m waiting for a code to use next time and get one for the Sigma 85/1.4 and Sony 24/1.4.
Bought my 1st LifeGuard skin and installed it yesterday on my SL2. (Chrome)
Took a littler more than an hour but was fun and easy to redo if you mess up. I didn't use all the pieces. The shots I posted show that it's not perfect if you look close but actually in use and holding it, you can't tell it's on.
What a great way to keep your gear in top condition!
I just ordered them for all my lenses and bodies...Wow!
It comes with a little SL2 cutout so I put it next to the wheel, for now)
