So as some of you may know, I recently returned from an incredible trip to Patagonia, which was a resounding success. Fortunately, I had a nice window of clear weather, allowing me to spend most of my time hiking, camping, and taking photos. Some locations were challenging to reach and required a considerable amount of hiking, with some hikes lasting around 12KM each way. In total, I estimate that I hiked over 100KM during my short stay there. I even climbed a few peaks for a better vantage point to capture the magnificent mountains and peaks on the opposite side. I did not use any drones to take my shots.
I now have a vast library of photos from "Autumn" Patagonia, but I'm still in the process of reviewing and selecting my best shots. I anticipate it will take me about a month to process all of my favorite images from this incredible trip. For now, here are a few I've managed to process by now. And yes, night photography there is just mind blowing. With southern Milky Way and both, small and Large Magellanic Clouds (small galaxies orbiting Milky Way) the night sky looks "unusually" beautiful (especially to someone like me, living in northern hemisphere). In addition, Lightroom now has a new AI deNoise tool that does an amazing job of removing noise. The high ISO photography is never going to be the same....

Gregg, absolutely stunning photography! Each and every image is brilliantly composed and the autumn colors are beautiful. Fan of your work and looking forward to another dose of Patagonia. Definitely earns my vote 👍🏻
Superb set Greg. I'm glad conditions were so spectacular for your trip. This is always the big risk when traveling so far.
I agree, for those of us from the northern hemisphere the first time we experience the Southern skies is very special. Almost like a view from another planet. Having spent a great deal of time now below the Equator I am familiar with these skies. Still, it is always a special treat every time I return and see them again.
