Last year end of July we were camping in Goblin Valley when a huge thunderstorm hit. Got outside with the tripod and managed to catch a few of the lightning hitting.
#1 Storm Approaching.
#2 Sun popping out under the clouds for a few minutes before sunset.
#3 Likewise
#4 My fav of the set, vibes of Stranger Things
#5 storm moving west. You can see a few brave souls who walked down from the overlook down into the valley to watch the spectacle…
Goblin Valley is always interesting to photograph. You never know what you are going to see, but you know it is always a place you should check out. A lot of people miss this state park, because it is somewhat off the beaten path, but folks should make an effort to see it if at all possible.
Cool. I'm not a huge fan of the goblins in standard mid day light. The light you had works well. I'd like to see what those people down in the Gobbins got with those lightening strikes!
