This sequence took place right after I witnessed my first mid-air food transfer. It was very early in the morning and the birds came out of nowhere so my SS was too low for the flight shots and I had a terrible time trying to track them. I need much more practice. I'm only including the first two shots to tell the story. The female landed right in front of me on the cliffside with the catch and took her time with her meal. I've become totally fascinated with these birds and can't get enough of learning about their habits and struggles. Thanks for looking.

These are beautiful ! Most of the Peregrine falcon shots I see have bridge structures in the background. Another well executed set Gary !

Superb set Gary. You might want to experiment with higher ISOs as modern cameras can do well well above 4,000. Even if you see some noise, there are a number of software programs that can address that noise. I can provide my thoughts on a few of them.

Fantastic set Gary!! Love the green background, not something new normally see with these types of shots,. I can only imagine how thrilling it was to witness and capture these scenes.

Thanks Morris. You're right. I was a late convert to Raw , only started about a year ago. I shot my D500 Jpeg only for so long that I'm still not used to just how far I can go now. I run all my Raw files through DxO now and then export into photoshop. I'm pretty happy with that workflow and with the results but I do appreciate the offer.

Thank you Birdie. I also think the green was a really nice backdrop. My wife and I have made maybe 10 or so trips to Southern California since my daughter moved there. This was the greenest we've ever seen it. All that rain

Very exciting to witness. I was just thrilled she landed so close.

Nice sequence of shots. It can be frustrating not having the right SS when the action starts. I am not familiar with the Z9. But if you have a programable button, you can program BIF settings, so that you can achieve the right settings Instantly when not expecting it.
