I would like a compact 75mm Color-Skopar lens — maybe f/2.4.
The Voigtlander 75 f/1.9 is already 35g lighter and 6.4mm shorter than the Leica M 75 f/2.4 summarit. I don't know how much more compact you can expect a 75mm to be. The Voigtlander is already a very compact lens.

I am glad that I have mine as it is one of my favorite lenses. I use it not only on my M11-P but also on my Olympus/OM bodies. It is a wonderful lens.
I remember the Olympus M.Zuiko 75mm f1.8 lens was a true gem of a lens for that system. Is this Voigtlander on par?

It has been a while since I have used the Olympus 75/1.8 so no direct comparisons, but I would say that the Voigtlander does not disappoint at all in sharpness or rendering. Take a look at Fred's sample images. The Voigtlander is also significantly smaller than the Olympus. When I travel, I take my M11-P and a MFT body, either the E-P7 or OM-3 currently. I can use the Voigtlander 75 on either body for great versatility and it packs easily.
Yes, it's pretty interesting that the Voigtlander 75/1.9 lens, for full frame sensor, is actually smaller than the M. Zuiko 75/1.8 lens for m43. And, probably, quite close in performance.
I did have both lenses, at different times. The M.Zuiko got sold when I left m43 system for the Sony FE. And the Voigtlander was used before getting the M-P Leica body, on my A7CR and A7Riv cameras, but never gelled with it. Just thinking to give it another try, but it might be too close to 50mm which is my favourite FL. Maybe going for a 90mm from Voigtlander...but the 90/2 I have bought a couple of months ago went back due to back focusing issue. Maybe I'll try the APO-Skopar.

I don't think it's the norm but the speculation is that a CV 75/2 APO-Lanthar is in the works.
I kind of hope this is true. I have the APO 90mm now, and a few times while using it, I would have preferred the 75mm focal length in a similar package.

I got a like new copy of this lens from MPB, took it for a spin at the Asheville tailgate market this morning. Bottom line: I love it, it's focal length is perfect for candid street portraits, it's plenty of sharp for my street shooting purposes, and size/weight are minimal. Here are a few shots.
