I like to make things my own, so applied this sticker kit to my M10-r. It's pretty heavy vinyl so will provide some protection against scrapes, but I got it because I like the way it looks.
And quite a bit cheaper than custom paint... The kit also has a piece that goes over the leatherette - applied to mine - but I am not sure if I will keep that as it feels much more slippery than the OEM stuff.
All of this peels off if you get bored of it, want to try a different look etc. Mine came from alphagvrd.com

Looks good! The pattern on it suits the body
I was thinking about getting one of these kits myself. Was it hard to apply all the pieces?
The one big piece that covers the front plate, goes over the top, and over the back plate was tricky. You just have to take it slow and calm. It took me a while doing the whole thing just because you have to be slow and careful.
The kits work better on black cameras, as inevitably you will see seams, which stand out much more with a silver body.
I had previously applied a carbon fiber look one to an Xpro3, and that looked great on that camera. This time I wanted some more fun w it and almost went with the lego pieces print, but thankfully (I guess..) backed off.
I'm pretty sure I will peel the wrap off the leatherette, as it just is too slippery and almost has a paper like feeling. Plus it really doesn't need it, the OG leatherette looks great with this kit as is.
There also were pieces I did not use - one that goes over the shutter button (but leaves the threaded cable release hole open) - I prefer the way it looks and feels w/o it. And two pieces which IMO are dumb - they cover the shutter speed dial and the ISO dial so you cannot see the setting! Better w/o as the silver contrasts nicely against the dark blue.
I have a kit from the same manufacturer for my M11. I figured it would preserve the finish for Resale time. I have so far been afraid to tackle the installation job. I like the way yours looks so I may just man up and get it done.
Nicely done. I originally ordered a kit from Alphagvrd, but went with the kevlar looking grip, i.e. reporter, and rather than green, went with the black texture for the remainder of the M10 body. I used the skin to protect the body, for resale, but fell in love with the M10-R, and have since peeled most of it off, to let the body wear naturally. I had also asked Alphagvrd, to delete the cutouts for the Leica dot on the front and the Leica markings on the rear. The only pieces I continue to use are the clear circles for the ISO and shutter speed dial.
I removed their patterned 'leatherette' that goes over the stock. I do not recommend using it as it is very slippery, and I think the stock one looks much better too.

The problem with deleting the cut out for the Leica dot is if you need access to adjust the RF mechanism, you need to remove the sticker/wrap from the top of the camera.
As a follow up.. the pattern that I picked has texture to it, along with being vinyl makes for a very grippy camera. Much easier to hold than the silver chrome bar of soap original finish.
I really love the distinct appearance of the camera and how it allows for personal customization, which makes it truly one-of-a-kind. I actually gave it a try on my original M10, but I have to say, I didn't quite enjoy the vinyl sticker feel in my hands as much as I do the brass.
I think the kit could be handy in cold weather. From the CV 28 thread:

One week in the cold and windy Iceland; I will take some time to talk about that on another topic.
This is what happens when you use an M10r with 28mm f2 under something never seen before and I will not see anymore in my life.
A windy night in eastern Iceland, cold and freezing, so much so I could not even use my hands over the metallic M10, and that made me miss the focus in some shots, for sure the only shots I will print in a HUGE size with a missed focus.
I was shooting with the Sony and Batis 18; I thought "why don't try the 28 f2 of the Leica?" even was windy and quite dangerous for the "Rolex style camera".
