I was out to shoot birds yesterday but ended up with these views of the Cascades from Glacier Peak High School. I tried the 16 shot pixel shift on my A7rV with the 200-600mm and was pleased with the results.
That new camera is serving you well, wow really nice images! I especially like the 3rd with or without the houses. I am going to google "16 shot pixel shift" and see what that is all about.
Dale, pixel-shift can take this camera to medium format megapixels levels with proper (tripod mounted) technique. It's a slow process both shooting and in post, so not useful for all situations.
Jim - Masterful B & W work once again. All very good and that third image of Gunn & Merchant is the hands down winner! The ridge in the foreground with the texture of the trees and the contrast of the prominently lit house with the gorgeous peaks behind add super depth and interest to the image. Extremely well done!
