Very nice work on these. Places that I don't recall seeing here before. I especially like the second. It's a matter of taste but I'd experiment with a bit more contrast and color.
2 grueling hikes, 2 very nicely done shots. In the 2nd one a lil dodging and burning could bring out more details on the trees and the rock behind em. Thanks for sharing these.
Nice shots, especially number two. Agree with others that it could possibly be enhanced in post. Nothing like a hike in Escalante to get the heart pumping!
This is awesome! Gotta be one of my favorite places on earth. I especially like the second one. My family and I took a shortcut and climbed down the 100+ feet 45 degree cliff to get to the arch. Can't wait to go back.
Thanks for the feedback! Totally agree on the contrast and color. For some reason, this file was a bit tricky to edit color (even with the localized tools) - maybe due to the high dynamic range.
Stunning locations nicely captured. How far of a hike was it to each of them?
The first/top image feels a little crowded at the bottom the way it is cropped. I think I would like it better if I could see that curve of the rock edge continue from side to side, if it did in fact continue (maybe there is a reason why you cropped it like that). I think that would frame and balance the image naturally.
Nice duo. The second has real potential and I agree that playing around with contrast here would likely help. Black and white would work too.
