I've seen some complaints on Amazon of these batteries swelling, maybe not specifically the version for Sony...but other versions. I haven't personally used them.
I have 2x older version Green Extreme FZ100 batteries from Adorama, the one without charging port. They discharge about twice as faster than Sony OEM battery if left unused for 2+ months, but if used right after a full charge, they last as long as the OEM ones. I haven't had any issue with them in my A7R4 for the past 2 years. For the $15 each price tag I paid for them, I think I can live with the faster discharge rate.
I went for the latest Neewer dual Z-100 battery charger and they give you 2 of their batteries with it for $56.00. I was astounded to find they charge wonderfully well and best of all have the identical charge AND discharge characteristics as the native Sony batteries which is very rare. What a deal too.
I have some Green Extreme GXNPFZ100 batteries. They must be an older version because they lack a USB port. Mine work fine as backups. Definitely not as much endurance as OEM cells. I typically only use third party batteries in an external grip. So if they do swell, only the grip is at risk. I've never had trouble with green extreme products. But I have had other third party batteries swell inside a camera before. Not fun. That's why I only put them in the grips now unless I'm really in trouble and have to do it. I usually have at least 3 extra OEM Z batteries for each camera.
Didn't Nitecore also come out with an FZ100 battery that had a charging port? I'm not a fan of something like a charging circuit that introduces complexity to a battery. Complexity = higher chance of problems.

Agreed. I'll be sticking OEMs, but am curious if anyone has used them. (they have zero reviews on the Adorama site, which tells me not many people have purchased them.)

And your house. Swelling lithium batteries is really not a good sign, look up the consequences on youtube etc. I cut corners, buy grey imports etc etc, but after witnessing a lithium battery fire one thing I would never do is buy cheap batteries. Sony used to be the largest manufacturer of batteries, even after they sold the business off their knowledge of how to spec/outsource/QA batteries are second to none. Your house/car/life is worth the extra $30.
