The news kept calling it "the 20 year monsoon season." My clients and I were forced back to our cars due to being pelted with hail and wind and lightning striking everywhere. We waited about 1-2 hours and I ran back out with them to help them capitalize on the highest water levels I have seen here in 15 years of photographing and guiding.

Logistics: after pointing out the uniqueness of this particular pool of water, my clients pounced on it! I took a quick shot just to help show the others how I might approach the scene, then ran off to help the others.

Processed starting with a Linear Raw File (Linear Profile) in Lightroom, and now being able to use multi lossless Raw Curve Masks in Camera Raw (one of the greatest game changers in processing history!) the critical 2.2 gamma curve was applied, the separate custom mid-tone and custom end points curves, and the custom global tone mapping/contrast curve (to make a Custom Raw Profile). After that, overall labor was massively reduced because most of the work was done, before sliding even a single slider in Lightroom! There is NOTHING like the Ultimate Lossless Adobe Raw on Raw Layer workflow for unprecedented truly lossless quality.
