Last day in this magical soul healing land. This morning we headed to Bernardo Wildlife area on our way back to the airport .
I thought the prior mornings between 18-22 degrees were cold. Little did this southern know. This morning it was around 9F . Cold does not being to describe how I felt .
My new, quite expensive, Heat 3 gloves and liners , stuffed with 3 hand warmers each , did nothing to keep my hands that suffer from Raynaud's from freezing in less than 2 minutes. I missed many shots because I could not feel much less press the shutter button . My hands have still not recovered .
Despite the cold and frozen limbs, I was quite sad that we had to soon depart.
I hope you have enjoyed my trip to the magical land and soul healing land of Bosque Del Apache.

I know what you're saying about being cold at Bosque, it definitely can be brutal. Now to your images, as I've said in the past your images possess a special feeling and all of these images have it but #2 is stunning. That is an image I would have hanging somewhere in my home.

1, 5 and 7 for me Roberta and there lovely. Congratulations on a wonderful trip and great photos using fingers that would not move. Having stood for hours in temperatures like that on a windy beach waiting for an owl to do something I understand how frustrating it is when your mind tries to trip the shutter and your finger dose not move. You did well :-}

My favorite is the last. very creative to pan upward accentuating the liftoff feeling.
Also I just notice how carefully you sign your work. subtle but distinguished.
9 degrees is brutal especially with Reynaud's. I finally found a solution: Ororo heated gloves.
Beautiful and emotive images from an artist who suffers for her work. Hoping time heals those fingers..my frost nip lasted 6 weeks but I don’t have Raynaud’s. Good luck and keep showing us that wildlife photography can portray emotion that makes us feel good inside.

Words cannot express how much I admire your work. You are an artist in every respect of the word. These are absolutely my favorite images I have seen presented from Bosque. I so hope I will have the opportunity to visit this area soon, cold not withstanding. Thank you for sharing and hope your hands recover soon!
