It was amazing to see such a large number of Steller's Sea Eagles in Hokkaido, Japan this winter!
The Steller's Sea Eagles winter in Japan for the winter, while the White Tailed Eagles are native to the area, so there were certainly a larger number of the White Tailed Eagles!

Beautiful. I was in Rausu a few years ago but got there a bit too early in February when the ice did not quite make it down there yet unfortunately. Will need to go back there again when I have a chance.

Only occasionally do I see these Sea Eagles posted here so this is a real treat Alphonsus! The imagery is amazing, with great exposures and a wonderful presentation. These birds are truly stunning

These are absolutely stunning Alphonsus... picture 23 is a stunner.
A wildlife trip to Hokkaido is on my bucket list, as I have always wanted the "trifecta"... snow monkeys, red-crowed cranes, and Stellar sea eagles.
It looks like you had an amazing trip with all of that new gear.

Incredible set. You really did these guys proud - so many poses, angles, backgrounds, and light. Each a masterpiece of focus and processing. This is why I come to FM - to set goals for my future birding.
