I know DXOPhotoLab put in a workaround in one of the later ver 6 firmware updates. But I never saw any official announcement that Apple fixed this problem and implemented by DXO in ver PHL 7 ( maybe something changed in macOS Sonoma?) Do you have an official reference/communication from DXO? I have been wondering about this, but maybe I missed something.

I am not aware of any official reference/communication from DxO on how they dealt with the problem that appeared in Ventura, and I cannot tell if Sonoma is different in this regard.
There is a formal statement on DxO website:
"DxO PhotoLab 5, 6 and 7 support Apple Silicon chips natively.
In addition, DxO DeepPRIME leverages the native Core ML software and the Apple Neural Engine, leading to up to great performance improvement compared to Intel chip-based Macs."

Understandably, this is for the most part an empty statement, as the meaning of "leverages" is open to interpretation. In the same vein, I am not sure about the meaning of "workaround" that has been used in this thread. "Workaround" has a derogative undertone, like a duct tape solution (that is, not a good solution). Yet, PL7 just works and works well with the neural engine.
My pragmatic view on this issue - I am not a computer scientist and I don't care. As a user of PL7, I want the program to work on my MacBook (now under Sonoma) and it does work as expected, without any issues.
I can commiserate with LR users who must wait for Adobe to fix the problem, or find a "workaround" - this must be frustrating.

I should by more lottery tickets. I just noticed my iMac Sonoma 14.1 is out. Won't do much for the iMac but after I update the Air I'll test it out.

Took my iMac Intel about 25 minutes. Air M1 about 7.

I didn't see any difference for either machine. Never expected any from the Intel. For both devices the memory pressure never gets past green.

Here is the Air. The swap never changed and memory went up about a gig running Denoise, just like the intel. Swap used never increased. If Apple fixed it (which I doubt) Adobe would have to tune it on their end and update the version most likely ?

I couldn't find any official "fix" information on-line either. I've sent an email to DXO to find out if Apple fixed the issue or if we are still operating even in the new PL7, under the previous DXO temporary solution installed in PL6 even.

Since DXO did communicate the problem a few times and their temporary solution, I expect DXO would advise when Apple applied a fix. But that's just me.

I should have been more specific. "For both devices the memory pressure never gets past green". Sonoma 14 was the same.
