p.1 #1 · The Grand Desert

Early evening, with a sunset to the right of this scene that is throwing light on the high points of the Pinto Basin, in the Mojave Desert, CA. A good time to fly. A four frame panorama.

Jeffrey, beautiful capture and I like the way you captured the light on all the high points.

Beautiful light. I see something very interesting going on at the very right end of the frame. I hope you got that.

Beautiful image Jeffrey. The color and projected mood are excellent.

Did the terrain really bow down like that? I've never been there...

Bow down? This is the Pinto Basin. The boulder-pile mountains are just to the left and other hills to the right. The trail follows the low point towards the center.

Ah, thanks. Just kind of looked like the horizon was concave (sometimes pano stitches do weird things the horizons, depending on the projection used).

Wow, gorgeous light. I love how it brushes across terrain like this.
