Gorgeous waterfall image. Usually, it is very rare to find good waterfall images.
I think this image is great because of its balanced contrast with environment and excellent composition, and appropriate ND effect, and nice photo editing. Two thumps-Up

What a wonderful balance of waters, and color saturation Steve. The water in foreground is just spectacular! The warmth of the cliffs and cool falling water is spot on a great contrast and compliment as well. The composition is a lesson on centering an item and having something to offset that at the same time. For me it's an overall eye-catcher
Well composed image of Abiqua. Appreciate the inclusion of the green sprigs growing from the mossy boulder far right. Give the scene additional depth for my eyes. Out of curiosity, using a Singh Ray warming polarizer with this scene? Asking since I own one and Ive occasionally had this color profile with waterfall scenes. Sort of a pleasing yellow, vibrant green cast, with pure white water.

Beautiful. I'm adding this to the itinerary for my spring trip down south.
Thanks Jim! Abiqua was an interesting stop for me on my waterfalls trip. Like many of your NW waterfalls, it was a bit of a scramble getting down there but not too bad. I've been following your posts and am glad to see you're out and about again. And posting great shots again! Thanks for your comment! Steve

Thank you Kane! Those green sprigs and the tiny pink flowers were a compositional feature that attracted my eye as well and all of it was certainly about depth and color contrast in this one. I did not use a warming polarizer but rather a standard one. A Breakthrough filter as I recall. But I definitely try to process many of my waterfall images to achieve something like this color profile. Most frequently with a combination of personal presets and NIK filters in LR. Thanks again for your comment! Steve

What is the hike like to get to these falls? Is there nearby lodging?
Relatively short but very steep hike down to the creek then upstream to the falls. Easier when its dry. Lots of lodging in Salem, a couple in Silverton, and also at Silver Falls State Park. Steve
