I’m exactly on the same boat. Joined few years ago and had upload membership first year and tried to look for some used item but failed. Years later and now no posting history on my account
I’m glad I found this thread after searching on the board for “PM” as earlier this evening I went to PM a member about a particular item I was interested in the “Buy & Sell” board and it too gave me the message that I can’t send a PM as I don’t have enough posts or likes. I looked an only a few months ago, I was able to send PM’s.
I enjoy reading the board without always interacting or giving my opinion and searching the gear available for sale. However, without purchasing the “Upload & Sell” option, I guess have to participate more to be able to PM members.
I WOULD buy the subscription to buy/sell. But the price is wayyyyyyy too high. Every other forum charges $10-15 for a premium subscription, you don’t get much for it either. I still pay for my 370Z forum even though I haven’t touched that car in 5 years. If the fee was a biiiiit more reasonable, I bet more people would pay and increase revenue for the site

I'm able to quote without hitting the twenty-five post limit. Hmmm....
Did we ever get to a consensus on 25 posts are the threshold? If not clear, I might consider buying a membership for a month but I guess it’s hard to know if I can find what I’m looking for in a month.
As a buyer, are people open to sell the gear to you as long as you have access to PM?

I've bought a few pieces of gear over the years from different members and had no problem at all. It wasn't until a few months ago when I went to send a PM a member about a piece of gear and ran into this road block.

Interesting although I get the 25 post limit I had assumed it was only for new accounts like myself. I would have thought an account from 2005 would be grandfathered in...
