How dirty is it? Ive washed mine in a washing machine before (pillow case, cinch up all straps, etc), and for packs not as bad, I will use a deep sink (or tub) and use sport wash (nikwax has a product called tx direct that works, GearAid is also a good one) and use a brush. Then I line dry it.
Ive been in nasty flooded slot canyons where hand washing probably wouldn't have sufficed lol.
