A few months ago I did a photo shoot with a dancer at my favorite spot on the Columbia River. I previously shared one photo here from this shoot, but I wasn't able to get much of the editing done on the rest of the photos from this shoot until very recently, and I figured I would share some of my favorites. The idea was to put most of the focus on dance and form, but of course I also made sure to get at least one "portrait" type shot too. These were all lit using natural light and photographed using a Canon 5D MKIII with a Canon EF 135mm f/2.8 lens. A few of them were also shots of her preparing to do a jump rather than mid-jump, but I still thought they were beautiful and wanted to keep them. They're in no particular order, except the first which is my favorite even though it's not a dance shot.

beautiful light you got for this set! Very nice 👍🏻
Thank you so much. You can never go wrong with some golden hour lighting with a little bit of haze in the atmosphere (sadly that haze was due to wildfire smoke).
Just sharing a few more that I recently finished from this session:
This particular shot isn't a new one, as I shared it here a couple of months ago before diving into the dance photos, but I thought I'd share it with these as well because it's one of my very favorites:
And then I took a cute shot of her and her partner, who was kind enough to be my shoot assistant that day:
These are really a beautiful culmination dancer photographer well choreographed ! The levitating images are superb A great environment for the shoot, nice presentation.

These are excellent, Daniel. The model's poses, the atmosphere, and the backgrounds, all mesh perfectly!
I think what I particularly enjoy is something that is a little difficult to describe, specifically her aura of wholesomeness, and the fact that she is so in tune with her body.

Thank you so much Charles. She and I both worked hard to make sure these conveyed her beauty in a genuine way. I'm glad that it seems to have translated into the photos.
