This is beautiful, capturing just the right moment/expression from the subject. And in a perfect setting: the real strength of this to me is the focus that is brought to the subject by everyone else being veiled and sort of abstracted, particularly as the veils somewhat blend into the fabrics in the background as well. In fact I'd suggest cropping it a bit squarer to remove that one other uncovered face on the far right edge, that face throws of the balance of the image a lot for me.

Thanks a bunch Lee. I did have a question regarding your comment about the woman's face on the right edge of the image being distracting. I thought that because she is looking at the girl, she would actually draw the attention back to the girl. But you think she draws the attention away despite that. Please let me know more, so that I can learn from your initial comment.

I could see it working that way if there were a wider range of tones in the image or perhaps if the deeper background had more people / faces out of focus. But with a background that's very much light tones and the sort of vague neutrality of fabric, to me that one extra face is just too much contrast and detail not to be overly distracting.
But of course these critiques are totally subjective; people may disagree with me and it's fine if you do too!
