Hello all, I just returned from my fifth safari on the African continent (this time to Kenya). I'm just getting through the images now and thought I would share a few of them. I shot exclusively with the OM-1/150-400 and the R3 70-200/2.8 this time. I was trying to simplify my kit as the last four safaris I've packed way too much gear and used about 50% of it. I think it was the right choice for me as I wasn't agonizing about lens changes. With so many good photo ops it was a good learning experience and I really am sold on doing tours during the rainy season - I struggled far less with lighting/haze issues. Anyways, I hope I did some of these amazing creatures and this beautiful country justice.

Bobby - Wow, What a fantastic set ! Love every one of these images, but that first one with the cub being carried is so special. Thanks for sharing these - Viewing these images was by far the highlight of my day. Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic set! They are all great but I gotta go with the Dik-dik for the win because they look so comical and disproportionate, which adds to their cuteness factor.

Thank you Dave, dik-dik is a favorite of mine as well, and even more interesting to watch in the wild. I love the mini "elephant snout" which seems to have a mind of its own.
What a fantastic set of images! My favorite is actually the lioness on the hill in the rain. When the weather doesn't cooperate like we think it should you can still make dramatic images. I bet keeping the gear dry was fun.
Thanks! Not too bad, actually. Just kept a shammy nearby to wipe off any incidental rain. That’s one of the advantages of the Kenya/Tanzania-style tour vehicles-the sliding windows. In Botswana they are fully open, so it’s you and the elements. granted it is easier to shoot unobstructed in those
