The new IBIS is a great improvement. Can now take pictures handheld not possible before.
Funny that the IBIS is where I felt the most disappointed with the 7RV. For me personally, it's about half sop better than the A7R3 if that. It's impossible for me to get a totally sharp picture handheld beyond 3 stops, especially on the wider ends. It's really disappointing as I never carry tripod nowadays and a working IBIS would be really helpful. Or maybe I should stop drinking to stop my shaky hands?

Sharpen AI and Photo AI takes forever to run on my ancient workstation, but Denoise AI seems run relatively fast. Time to upgrade I guess.
Here is an example of Sharpen AI rescued one of my blurred photo.
Honestly all 4 of these lenses look great on the a7R V. The CV 35/2 APO and Sigma 40/1.4 (David and Goliath) resolve all the way to the edges and corners. The Sigma 28 is pretty close, I'm not sure I'd even call it behind. Given it's a wider angle, more is being crammed into the shot so it's hard to compare. The Batis 40 is still super sharp, but I don't think it holds that resolution into the corners as the others. Still super though.

Never tried Topaz but have to say these images look really nice folks. I might have to try it. I do all processing in C1 and does a nice job but some of these are stunning with noise
I first denoise using either Topaz or DXO, and then into C1.... C1 works great on Sony files.
I took a look at the free download for Sony C1. I wasn't impressed. Far more impressed with DXO Photolab 6. So I deleted it. I'm NOT about to pay several hundred dollars for C1's pay version. Besides, DXO with it's own NR is leagues beyond C1 and if I need to a pass though Topaz finishes the job perfectly.
Some really great pictures. I just couldn't resist anymore and upgraded from the R4 to R5 along with sigma 24-70 to sony 24-70 2.8 gm ii. So inspired to go out and shoot again! I think I'm gonna have to get the 200-600 too now and call it a day!
Blue-footed Boobies are such fantastic divers, I could spend all day watching them diving into the water. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to film them, up-close ,at the moment when they break into the water. Somehow I always at the wrong side of the beach when the boobies decided to dive.
