Image deleted as the raw file is only 1616x1080. Must be Sony's image edge wireless file transfer limitations. Sorry for the cockup. 😅
The following image is sooc jep and it should display correctly. I think the problem before is that the inability of Samsung's photo app to export raw file properly. 2022-12-02_07-51-33 by Wandering Cloud, on Flickr

You could always look here until we get some activity from FM form members. No real interactivity....just a bunch of photos. The number grows every day...

You've got some really obvious compression going on, and nothing looks sharp...might check that processing workflow when you're back to a big monitor.
Can't really see the picture clearly on my fold 4. Will have to wait till January when I back home.
Ps. Just had a look at the raw file and somehow it is only 1616x1080. Must be the limitations of Sony's Image Edge wireless transfer.
That's the problem with mobile phones, every picture looks fine when it is not.
I attended a torch swimming event and pushed the RV sensor to its limits. Unfortunately the viewfinder and the monitor were much brighter than my old RIII that I compensated mostly by -1 EV.
In Capture One (that already supports the files) it turned out that the pics were severely underexposed and I had to play on restoring them...
Lens used was the Samyang 135 f1.8:

These (looked on Flickr) are all over the place in terms of sharpness, detail and ISO performance. Not very promising
What gives? ISO 2000-4000 shouldn't bring the R5 to its knees I would think?
I really had to push the files for two stops and more, maybe that's why? But honestly I had so many issues with the camera, that I don't know what the real problem was... and also with the file handling in Capture One. The WB was totally different in the screen size than in 100% view. I never had such a problem before!
From Iceland last week, though I took the a1 as well as I'd only had the a7rV a couple of days. This was converted to TIFF in IE then processed as normal (ACR/PS).
Just got the camera late in the afternoon yesterday. Only had time to step out in the backyard for a couple of quick hand held shots with the Zeiss 55. files processed in Capture 1, then brought into PS.
How are you guys finding the IBIS improvement? That and the updated AF are really the only reasons I would want to upgrade since the R line is so much more sensitive to movement than the others.
The IBIS is definitely better, I have been able to pull off razor sharp images at around half a second (85 mm f1.4) even though not every shot was great.
But for me the thing is, I CAN get sharp shots with it as with my old RIII I almost never made something below around 1/20th even if I tried ten times...
